Make Your Dives Count
Ever thought about what happens to trash that sinks beneath the surface? That’s where you can come in. With Sun Divers, Roatan’s first-ever PADI Eco Center, you can turn every dive into an act of meaningful impact by enrolling in the PADI Dive Against Debris Specialty Course. This isn’t just another dive; it’s a chance to make every fin kick count.
In this PADI specialty course, you’ll learn how to plan and execute an underwater cleanup like a pro. Starting with a fun knowledge session, you’ll discover how marine debris damages reefs, where it comes from, and how divers like you are a critical part of the solution. Then you’ll head out for an open water dive where you’ll remove debris, weigh and sort it, and log your findings into the world’s largest underwater debris survey database.
Why choose this PADI specialty course?

- You’ll become a citizen scientist, contributing real data that helps researchers and policymakers reduce marine pollution. And you’ll leave your favorite Roatan reef more gorgeous than you found it!
- Every piece of debris you remove becomes part of a global solution, not just a local cleanup.
- The course counts as an Adventure Dive toward your Advanced Open Water certification and adds to your tally of specialties on the path to Master Scuba Diver
