Welcome to Sun Divers, Roatan’s first-ever PADI Eco Center, nestled right on the beach at Half Moon Bay in West End. Since opening in 2013, we’ve grown into one of the island’s top-rated dive centers, known for white glove service and epic underwater adventures.
When owner-operators Natalie Shuman and Shannon Shuman took the helm in January 2021, they gave Sun Divers a mission bigger than diving alone: to show that exceptional diving and genuine reef protection can go hand in hand.
Being ‘eco-active’ is at the heart of everything that Sun Divers does. It’s the mindset that divers are uniquely positioned to protect our oceans. This commitment earned us the title of PADI’s first Eco Center on Roatan and a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice for 9 years straight.
Today, it’s what makes us more than just a dive shop. We’re a community hub for ocean lovers who are as passionate about protecting the Roatan’s reef as they are about adventuring on it.

We’re dedicated to a Roatan diving experience that’s personalized, stress-free, and environmentally responsible. It’s the kind of bucket-list adventure where you don’t lift a finger and everyday on Roatan’s Mesoamerican reef is a new experience.
Small groups, personal attention
We cap our fun-dive groups at six divers per guide, matching divers by skill level and interests. Student groups are capped at four divers per instructor. Solo divers are always welcome and plenty of lifelong dive buddies have met right aboard our boats!
Hassle-free gear handling
We pre-assemble, rinse, and store your equipment, so all you have to do is focus on the adventure. Don’t have your own gear? You can rent top-quality Scubapro rental gear which we maintain and restock routinely – so you can always trust the equipment you’re diving in.
Expert-led dives
Our top-notch PADI instructor-divemasters and seasoned boat captains, chosen for their deep knowledge of Roatan’s reefs, guide you to the best sites, from stunning coral walls to marine-life hotspots.
Safety & quality, always
We partner with expert boat builders and the industry’s leading equipment manufacturers to ensure every aspect of your dive experience meets the highest standards. Our custom-designed boats are dry docked annually for expert upkeep, while our ScubaPro rental fleet is professionally serviced each year and refreshed regularly. No worn-out gear or questionable boats here. Just reliable, high-quality equipment, comfortable vessels, and the peace of mind that comes from diving with a team that never cuts corners on safety or quality.

- Lend a hand at our monthly beach cleanups.
- Become a Dive Against Debris specialty diver and help clear the reef of marine debris.
